Position Title: Academic Support Assistant - Women's and Gender Studies
Overview: Auburn University is seeking a dedicated Academic Support Assistant to join the Women's and Gender Studies Program within the College of Liberal Arts. This role is designed to provide students with a valuable educational experience, allowing them to apply their knowledge and skills in a practical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Director of the Women's and Gender Studies Program and assist graduate and undergraduate students enrolled in related courses.
- Engage in administrative and clerical tasks, including event setup, filing, and documentation.
- Collaborate on various projects that promote the Women's and Gender Studies Minor, including marketing efforts and event coordination.
- Create and manage content for social media platforms, digital publications, and print materials.
- Enhance communication and interaction with diverse groups, including students, faculty, and community partners.
Essential Functions: The Academic Support Assistant will focus on applying their educational background to assist in the administration and coordination of the program. Responsibilities will include:
- Utilizing pedagogical approaches to develop academic programming.
- Implementing initiatives that follow best practices in education.
- Contributing to the enhancement of student engagement and interest in the program.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree is required.
- Candidates must be current graduate students at Auburn University or enrolled at the time of appointment.

Compensation: The position offers a monthly stipend, with expected work hours of 15 per week.
