Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Ochsner Medical Center - New Orleans. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, working closely with our experienced surgical team to provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring all necessary equipment is available.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe surgical procedures, communicating effectively to address any concerns or issues.
  • Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, providing emotional support and ensuring a positive patient experience.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience as a Surgical Technologist, with a strong background in hybrid OR procedures.
  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist, with a focus on Colorectal and GYN specialties.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
Work Environment

This role will be based at Ochsner Medical Center - New Orleans, working in a dynamic and supportive environment with a team of experienced healthcare professionals.
