Heavy Mobile & Industrial Equipment Mechanic Lead

Summary/Objective

The Heavy Mobile & Industrial Equipment Mechanic Lead is responsible for the effective repair and upkeep of various vehicles and machinery. This role demands a high degree of proficiency in diagnosing issues, executing repairs, and managing preventive maintenance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out both urgent and planned repairs on production machinery
  • Execute mechanical diagnostics and repairs on packaging and production equipment
  • Identify and rectify issues in mobile and stationary processing machinery
  • Conduct inspections and perform scheduled maintenance on trucks, trailers, and other machinery
  • Document and maintain records, oversee the Preventative Maintenance Program
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and protocols
  • Keep a clean and secure working environment
  • Participate in mandatory safety meetings
  • Perform additional tasks as required

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical training along with 3-5 years of experience in vehicle and construction equipment maintenance and repair

Additional Qualifications

  • Proficiency in acetylene and electric arc welding
