Body Fit Plus Inc is hiring for a Licensed Psychiatric Technician at a correctional facility in Lancaster, California. This role involves providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.

Salary and Benefits
As a Licensed Psychiatric Technician, you can expect to earn $52.5 to $58 per hour. Our company offers a range of benefits, including health insurance, contract extension bonuses, and 40 hours of paid sick time. Additionally, you will have access to weekly direct deposit payroll and paid pre-employment testing. This is a fantastic opportunity to transition to a permanent state position with excellent benefits if available.

Job Description
This role requires you to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for clients. You will work closely with the service coordinator to develop service plans and follow protocols regarding medication administration and treatments as per physicians' orders. Your duties will also include notifying physicians of incidents, changes in condition, and the need for medication or treatment evaluation in a timely manner. Furthermore, you will communicate effectively with staff and assist them as needed in performing their job responsibilities. As a liaison between the physician, client, and interdisciplinary team, you will complete incident reports, medication error reports, and drug reaction reports according to protocol.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have twelve continuous months of experience within the last three years rendering direct patient care in a public or private institution. Your clinical competencies must be current, and you should possess a valid photo ID driver's license or passport. Additionally, you should have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association and a current and valid LPT license issued by the California State Board.
