Position Summary:
The Facilities Engineer plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and functionality of our school facilities. Reporting directly to the Director of Facilities, this position is responsible for the overall maintenance, security, and operational efficiency of multiple school buildings and their grounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilities Management (60%):
    Conduct routine preventive maintenance and necessary repairs. Supervise external contractors for maintenance tasks and ensure the operational efficiency of all mechanical and electrical systems. Address daily maintenance requests promptly and participate in facility planning and remodeling projects.
  • Administrative Duties (30%):
    Manage facility-specific budgets and oversee capital projects as assigned. Ensure that all projects are completed efficiently and within budget. Maintain communication with custodial staff regarding schedules and facility concerns.
  • Operational Oversight (10%):
    Collaborate with school leadership to identify and resolve facility-related issues. Respond to emergencies and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
