Job Overview

Position Title: Street Sweeper Operator

Reports to: Operations Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated street sweeper operator to enhance our property maintenance division. This role involves overnight shifts, commencing at 9:30 PM. As a street sweeper operator, you will be responsible for maneuvering specialized vehicles, utilizing vehicle controls and attachments to maintain cleanliness in parking areas by removing debris and trash. Candidates should possess experience in operating sweeping machinery and demonstrate a solid understanding of safety protocols. Physical endurance is essential for this position, as it requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, and frequently entering and exiting the vehicle, along with the ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory. Previous experience with sweepers is advantageous but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proficient in technology (able to use mobile devices for clocking in and out of job sites and capturing images)
  • Operate the sweeper truck to transport between various locations
  • Utilize a blower to clear walkways and curb edges
  • Perform hand portering duties (collect loose trash from landscaped areas)
  • Replace trash bags as needed
  • Availability for weekend night shifts may be required (Friday or Saturday)
