I. JOB PURPOSE


The Water Quality Systems Engineer in the solar energy manufacturing sector is tasked with overseeing the functionality, upkeep, and enhancement of the Water Quality management systems.

This position entails leading a team of operators, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, implementing effective maintenance protocols, and contributing to the overall efficiency of Water Quality operations.

Additionally, the role encompasses budget development and effective resource management to realize cost efficiencies. This includes formulating equipment maintenance strategies with a focus on cost-effectiveness and executing efficient material management and procurement practices.

Moreover, the engineer promotes sustainable practices such as energy efficiency and recycling to reduce operational expenses and support eco-friendly business operations.

II. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Must Have

  • Team Leadership

Management:

  • Supervise a team of technicians responsible for the operation and maintenance.
  • Oversee and manage the allocation of shift personnel to ensure optimal staffing levels.
  • Regularly update the Utility Team Leader on progress and challenges.
  • Facilities Operations

Management:

  • Monitor and enhance the operational effectiveness of Water Quality systems, conducting regular assessments of performance (cost and quality).
  • Evaluate performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and develop action plans.
  • Prepare comprehensive performance reports and suggest effective solutions for enhancements.
  • Facilities Maintenance Management
  • Supervise routine preventative maintenance tasks on Water Quality systems.
  • Oversee the installation, modification, and repair of plumbing, piping, and mechanical components.
  • Ensure that all preventative maintenance on facilities equipment is conducted per the established schedule and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain comprehensive records for all facilities equipment status, maintenance activities, and scheduled inspections, including fire safety systems.
  • Budget Development and Management
  • Oversee budget development for utility facility operations, ensuring optimal resource allocation and utilization.
  • Monitor and implement cost-saving initiatives to meet key performance indicators.
To Be Trained

  • Inventory Management (Spare Parts, Chemicals, Consumables)

Management:

  • Develop and implement a thorough spare parts management system.
  • Ensure the availability of essential spare parts to minimize operational downtime.
  • Conduct proactive inventory planning to guarantee a sufficient supply of chemicals for Water Quality processes.
  • Anticipate chemical usage trends and adjust inventory levels accordingly.

Emergency Response and Compliance:

  • Respond to facility emergencies related to environmental incidents, fires, or security breaches.

Training:

  • Provide training and maintain training records for Facility Technicians.

Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations of Hanwha Q CELLS.
  • Develop and implement safety protocols related to the operation and maintenance of utility facilities.

Others:

  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
III. JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant Certification
  • Relevant certifications are preferred and will be considered advantageous.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in public or industrial water treatment, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a team of technicians.
  • Fluency in Korean is a plus.
