Job Summary

The Box Truck Driver is a critical role at Wm. T. Burnett & Co., responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to customers using box trucks. This position is key to maintaining our reputation for reliability and excellent customer service, ensuring that goods reach their destinations efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate box trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety procedures.
  • Efficiently load and unload cargo, ensuring safety and integrity of goods.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections, refuel, clean vehicles, and report any mechanical issues to maintenance staff.
  • Immediately report any road incidents to the dispatcher or supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving activity, cargo records, and compliance with electronic logging devices (ELD units).
  • Ensure that goods are delivered on schedule to meet customer expectations.
  • Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude during customer interactions.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience driving a box/pup truck.
  • Must have a valid medical examiner card.
  • Clean MVR report for the last 3 years.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
