We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Donation Attendant to join our team at Goodwill Industries International Inc. As a key member of our donation center team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, receiving donations, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide outstanding customer service to donors, answering questions and addressing concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Receive and process donations, ensuring that all items are properly labeled and stored in a safe and accessible manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, adhering to Goodwill's standards for appearance and safety.
- Assist with loading and unloading donations from vehicles, using equipment such as pallet jacks and walkie stackers as needed.
- Conduct daily safety inspections on company-owned equipment and report any issues or concerns to management.
- Participate in cross-training opportunities to develop skills and knowledge in other areas of the store, as needed.
- Model Goodwill's core values of trust, collaboration, engagement, ownership, and innovation in all interactions with customers, colleagues, and management.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to pass a forklift certification class and operate equipment safely and efficiently.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or vocational training preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
