Patient Care Associate

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Associate to join our team at Mass General Brigham. As a Patient Care Associate, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Job Summary:The Patient Care Associate will assist with direct patient care needs, foster a healing environment, and contribute to the plan of care through ongoing communication with the RN. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to lift and transport patients safely, and a commitment to providing compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, bathing, and dressing
- Set up food trays and assist patients with meals as needed
- Perform preventative skin care and assist patients with positioning and mobilization
- Apply and remove pneumatic sequential compression sleeves
- Adhere to standard precautions and hand hygiene guidelines
- Assist with admission and discharge processes, and provide safe patient transportation
- Orient patients and families to the surroundings and ensure safekeeping of patient valuables
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Six months of experience as a Nursing Assistant or completion of a formal nursing program
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant is preferred
- Ability to lift and transport patients safely, according to Safe Patient Handling Guidelines
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with patients, visitors, and hospital personnel
