Job Description

As a Massage Therapist at The Wilde Resort and Spa, you will provide professional spa massage and body treatments to create a healthy stress-free environment for our guests. You will work closely with our spa team to ensure exceptional customer service and maintain the highest standards of hygiene and sterilization.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive massage and body treatments to guests
  • Evaluate clients by conducting various motion and muscle testing and suggest treatment plans
  • Perform prep work, clean, and restock room as necessary
  • Organize spa storage and handle guests' queries and concerns efficiently
  • Work with no direct supervision and maintain a constructive attitude to add to quality work environment
  • Maintain and replace linens between appointments
  • Alert management to order linens, supplies, and backbar
  • Properly care for tools and use proper amounts of backbar product to assist with cost controls
  • Communicate and assist in reenforcing treatment protocols and monitoring product usage
  • Create/update treatment/product protocols
  • Inform management of compliments/concerns of provider regularly scheduled work performance
  • Schedule provider trainings, conduct trainings, and report to management with all comments/concerns
  • Be a positive role model for all providers
  • Assist coordinators/attendants if needed
  • Ensure all areas of the spa are always clean and orderly
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
  • Regularly present at, take part in, and support training and staff meetings for the spa
  • Help in all areas of spa operation as requested by organization
  • Actively support the spa, treatments, services, and retail, in addition to programs, promotions, and/or discounts obtainable
Requirements
  • Minimum three years' experience providing massage services in a high-end salon or luxury spa environment
  • High school or equivalent; Must hold and maintain a current state of license; 500 hours of massage training from an accredited school
  • Proficient in all components of massage therapy, e.g., anatomy, physiology, body mechanics, and various types of massage
  • Able to perform at least 5 treatment hours of massage daily
  • Able to read and speak English; able to lift, push, carry 20 - 50 lbs
  • Must be able to stand for an entire shift and be able to move throughout the Spa/hotel areas
  • Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and flexible shifts/hours
  • Physically capable of using the required equipment and/or tools specific to position
