Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Cloud Native Software Engineering Manager to lead and grow a talented team of engineers, drive diverse software projects, and propel our mission forward. As a key member of our leadership team, you will own efforts to develop, deploy, and maintain production-quality cloud native applications using public cloud technologies like AWS and Azure.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead a growing team of highly motivated and skilled software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and technical excellence.
  • Drive a goal-based software development process, balancing product roadmaps with technical infrastructure and security improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including strategy, product management, quality, UX, data science, business development, and technical program management.
  • Assess, create, and execute on hiring plans, cultivating a diverse and inclusive team.
  • Develop, train, and mentor software engineering staff, promoting scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
Key Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience developing and shipping production software.
  • 5+ years of leading engineering teams, including building product roadmaps, running agile processes, performance management, conflict resolution, and career development.
  • A genuine passion for management, with a desire to build best-in-class management practices.
  • Experience building cohesive teams, including interviewing and closing exceptional engineers.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills, with a commitment to fostering inclusion and diversity within your team and the larger organization.
  • A solid understanding of cloud, backend, frontend, and mobile development, with experience managing engineers who develop in Node.js, TypeScript, React.
  • Familiarity with development tools and technologies such as AWS, Azure, REST, JSON, GraphQL, and NoSQL.
