Job Summary

The Oiler performs preventative maintenance, maintenance, repairs, and fuels various types and pieces of equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of equipment maintenance practices, electrical systems, and proper equipment maintenance and repair.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks per manufacturer recommendations on assigned equipment as approved by the Equipment Manager.
  • Fuel equipment as needed, perform daily services in a manner that does not impede production work on any job site.
  • Inspect equipment during daily services and report any deficiencies to the Equipment Manager.
  • Take oil samples at designated hourly intervals and submit them for analysis to the appropriate oil sample lab.
  • Maintain records of daily services, hour meter readings, and equipment condition.
  • Perform minor repairs as directed by the Equipment Manager on equipment.
  • Report all injuries and occupationally related illnesses immediately to the Equipment Manager.
  • Maintain a sufficient stock level of appropriate fluids and filters required to service all assigned equipment.
Requirements
  • Valid commercial Driver's License (minimum Class B with HAZMAT endorsement) and updated medical certifications.
  • Extensive knowledge of equipment preventative maintenance practices.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems.
  • Possess knowledge of proper equipment maintenance and repair.
