At Creative Solutions in Healthcare - West, we are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. This per diem position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work with a dynamic group of healthcare professionals.
Job SummaryWe have an exciting opportunity for a Per Diem (PRN) Physical Therapy Assistant to provide exceptional patient care services to our residents. As a member of our in-house rehabilitation team, you will be responsible for administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatments, implementing treatment plans, and providing clinical support to patients and their families.
Physical Therapy Assistant Responsibilities:
- Administering Medically Prescribed Treatments: Administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain, improve or restore function, and promote healing.
- Providing Skilled Services: Providing skilled physical therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
- Responding to Requests for Service: Responds to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to Physical Therapist.
- Implementing Treatment Plans: Implements and modifies the patient's physical therapy plan of treatment with PT supervision.
- Monitoring Patient Progress: Measures & records patient's motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
- Modifying Treatment Approaches: Monitor patient response to treatment intervention and modify treatment approach and directive as clinically appropriate with IDT collaboration.
- Providing Clinical Support: Provide clinical support and education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
- Ensuring Accurate Documentation: Ensure documentation is completed thoroughly and timely and complies with all company and state/federal regulatory requirements.
- Attending Required Meetings: Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.
Physical Therapy Assistant Skills:
- SNF/Long-term Care Experience: SNF/Long term care experience preferred.
- Treatment Practices Knowledge: Current knowledge of treatment practices.
- Electronic Documentation System Familiarity: Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
- Personality Management: Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities.
Physical Therapy Assistant Requirements:
- Active/Valid Texas License: Active/Valid Texas license as Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Regulatory Compliance: In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
