As a Respiratory Student, you will provide evaluation and care for respiratory therapy patients under the supervision of a licensed respiratory therapist. This role is ideal for students enrolled in a Respiratory Therapy program who are looking to gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting.
Responsibilities- Administer medications and treatments to patients under appropriate supervision.
- Deliver and assess patient response to ordered therapy.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition.
- Provide patient education for diseases, medications, and treatment.
- Respond to Medical Emergencies and Rapid Responses.
- Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Enrolled in a Respiratory Therapy program.
- No experience required.
- Constant use of speech to share information through oral communication.
- Constant standing and walking.
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, reaching, and keyboard use/data entry.
- Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
- Frequent use of smell to detect/recognize odors.
- Frequent use of hearing to receive oral communication, distinguish body sounds, and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA).
- Respiratory Educ Permit - Missouri Division of Professional Registration.
- Letter of Acknowledgment of Receipt of Application for Provisional Respiratory Care Practitioner - Oklahoma Medical Board.
- Provisional Respiratory Care Therapist - Oklahoma Medical Board.
This role is located in Missouri, Oklahoma, Illinois, and Wisconsin.
