Overview:

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness within the facility. This role involves a variety of cleaning tasks and some administrative responsibilities as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform cleaning duties in rooms and common areas, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Manage linens by sorting, counting, and transporting them as needed.
• Make beds, turn mattresses, and arrange furniture to ensure a welcoming environment.
• Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms, including polishing fixtures and spot-cleaning walls.
• Dispose of waste and ensure trash is removed regularly.
• Report maintenance needs and repairs to the supervisor promptly.
• Assist individuals with developmental disabilities as required.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Additional training in housekeeping operations is a plus.

Experience: A minimum of three years of general work experience is preferred. Candidates should possess the ability to read and write in English to understand procedures and communicate effectively.

Skills: Bilingual abilities are preferred. Experience working with adults with disabilities is advantageous.

Other Requirements:

• Successful completion of a drug screening and background check.
• Reliable transportation is necessary.
• Ability to work with various cleaning chemicals safely.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform other physical tasks as required.
