We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bilingual Certified Teacher to join our team at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of unaccompanied children who have come to the United States without a parent or legal guardian.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized lesson plans to meet the educational, social, and behavioral needs of assigned students.
  • Provide instruction in mathematics, language arts, science, and social studies to students in a multi-grade setting.
  • Conduct initial and final assessments to evaluate student progress and develop strategies for improvement.
  • Establish a safe and supportive classroom environment that promotes social and emotional growth.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to review and evaluate student progress.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Must have work experience in a multi-grade setting and meet Massachusetts licensing/certification requirements for teaching.
  • Teaching English as a Second Language/Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages certification or other appropriate accrediting body.
  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Must be empathetic and have a team approach to care for our individuals.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
