Job Title: Occupational Therapist

TransPerfect Health Corp. is a leading provider of outcome-based rehabilitation solutions, offering a range of services including physical, occupational, and speech therapy.

The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for providing high-quality direct patient care, including screening, evaluation, and development of initial and ongoing treatment plans. This role will also involve clinical supervision of Occupational Therapist Assistants (OTAs) and ensuring compliance with all professional standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide occupational therapy services to residents in an upscale continuum care community in Stone Mountain, GA
  • Build a strong occupational therapy program for assigned clients
  • Optimize the functionality and skills of patients through evaluation and treatment
  • Screen facility residents and complete all necessary medical documentation
  • Attend required meetings and in-services, including family meetings, care plans, staffing, and utilization review
  • Develop programs appropriate to the needs of facility residents through the continuum of care, in conjunction with the Director of Rehabilitation
  • Comply with infection control procedures and environmental protocol, following OBRA Resident's Rights Guidelines
  • Provide consultation and clinical supervision to OTAs
  • Responsible for scheduling residents and educating families and staff on in-services
  • Assist the facility in meeting standards necessary to maintain state and federal certification
  • Perform a variety of duties relative to the job, some of which require moderate to heavy physical demand
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in all situations
  • Strong time management and ability to manage multiple caseloads
  • Ability to supervise OTAs according to state regulations
  • Patient Driven Payment Model (PDPM) knowledge
  • Medicaid case-mix knowledge
Qualifications:
  • Minimum Master's of Science degree or equivalent certification in Occupational Therapy
  • Current certification by National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc (NBCOT), if required by State
  • Maintain valid State License and awareness of issues related to the profession of Occupational Therapists (OT) and healthcare environment
  • Valid driver's license or other means to commute between facilities assigned to work
