Shifts Available:
3rd Shift 4x10's: 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM Monday - Thursday ($18.50/hour)

Weekend Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM Friday-Sunday ($20.44/hour)
Hourly rate includes shift premium.

As a Coupling Assembly Technician at Caterpillar Inc., you will engage in various repetitive tasks utilizing diverse machinery and/or hand tools to complete the assembly and/or sub-assembly of component parts to achieve a finished coupling assembly.

You may be tasked with different hand assembly processes, pressing, plating, brazing, and/or cleaning of component parts. Visually inspect parts as they are processed. Carry out assignments with minimal supervision and/or guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify the tools and equipment necessary for assigned operations.
- Follow startup and shutdown procedures on all equipment, monitor and adjust machinery as necessary, and document the same.
- Move materials using various methods as required.
- Perform various assembly or sub-assembly processes, including but not limited to ringing, naming, and hand assembly.

- Maintain records related to production, downtime, quality, maintenance, etc.

- Ensure all quality standards are met through visual inspections and/or measuring devices.
- Recognize operational irregularities and machine malfunctions, making corrections or notifying the appropriate personnel.
- Conduct rework as necessary.
- Perform machine setup as required.
- Instruct and train assigned operators on work tasks, safety protocols, proper equipment usage, and the importance of adhering to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 quality standards.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment as required.
- Meet or exceed production targets or notify the Team Lead or Manager of any deviations from the standard.
- Work safely at all times and comply with safety regulations regarding the use of protective equipment and devices.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, equipment, and machinery at all times.

- Perform necessary computer transactions in various applications and software programs.
- Offer suggestions for enhancing productivity, processes, safety, or the work environment.
- Execute other miscellaneous job assignments and related functions as directed by the Team Lead, Manager, or other designated personnel.
- Collaborate effectively as a team member, demonstrating a willingness to work with others to resolve issues.

- Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.

Work Environment:

- The role requires the ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Ability to frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 35 pounds for intervals of 15 to 30 minutes.


Basic Qualifications:
- Beginner-level proficiency in blueprint reading.
- Previous experience with precision measuring equipment.
- Resume or work history required for consideration.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Previous SAP experience.
- Intermediate level of computer proficiency.
- Previous manufacturing experience is a plus.
