Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Nurse Specialist to join our team at The University of Vermont Health Network. As a Nurse Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting families through pregnancy, postpartum, and the early childhood years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide skilled nursing services for pregnant/postpartum women with higher risk pregnancies due to medical, psychiatric, and/or substance use disorder diagnoses.
  • Offer individualized self-care and parenting assessment, education, and support to families.
  • Collaborate with community service providers to identify and address developmental challenges and/or psycho-social concerns.
  • Provide skilled nursing services for children up to 18 years of age with a medical diagnosis, including emotional adjustment support to children, their families, and their care providers.

Requirements:

  • Minimum one to two years of directly related obstetrical and child health nursing and human services experience.
  • Previous home care parental child health nursing experience desired but not required.
  • Central line experience.

Benefits:

  • $5,000 Sign On Bonus, eligible for external applicants.
  • Mileage reimbursed at Federal Gas Rates.

Work Schedule: This is a 20 hour benefitted position working 3 days per week, Thursdays are required, the two other routine days are determined in conversation to meet your and the program's needs.
