We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Oncology Specialist to join our team at Ethos Veterinary Health. As a key member of our oncology department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the advancement of veterinary medicine.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support to our oncologists with incoming consultations, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Manage the flow of appointment schedules, prioritizing tasks and ensuring efficient use of time.
- Assist veterinarians with patient assessment, triage, and vital sign acquisition.
- Provide nursing skills and support with treatment and diagnostic requests, including laboratory sample processing and administration of medications.
- Administer sedatives as needed and conduct required patient monitoring.
- Record and communicate patient information accurately into patient medical records.
- Safely and effectively restrain patients, maintaining a calm and comfortable environment.
- Monitor patients under anesthesia, utilizing ventilator experience as needed.
- Maintain sanitary conditions of the hospital, ensuring a clean and efficient working area.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in emergency and critical care settings.
- Demonstrated excellence in nursing care and critical thinking skills.
- Strong desire to learn and grow in the role.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment.
