Position Overview:
As a Warranty Specialist, you will serve as the primary authority on warranty coverage for all major unit manufacturers. Your role will involve collaborating with service writers to pinpoint units currently under warranty that are in for service.

Key Responsibilities:
1. **Coordinate Warranty Parts:** Manage all warranty replacement parts, ensuring effective communication with service writers and customers while striving to meet and exceed quality and timing standards.
2. **Audit Past Claims:** Review and categorize previous warranty repair tickets in Lightspeed into High, Medium, and Low probability claims.
3. **Vendor Relationships:** Establish and nurture relationships with warranty claim managers from all major unit vendors associated with Hamlin's Marine.
4. **Maximize Labor Rates:** Ensure that Hamlin's qualifies for the highest warranty labor rates available from all major unit vendors.
5. **Claim Resubmission:** Re-submit aged claims with supporting documentation to negotiate overdue claims, providing necessary arguments related to management changes and business disruptions.
6. **Expertise Development:** Become the go-to expert on warranty coverage for all major unit vendors and assist service writers in identifying units eligible for service.
7. **Collaboration with Technicians:** Work closely with technicians on specific jobs to identify potential warranty claims, whether reported by customers or not.
8. **Inspection Coordination:** Collaborate with the Major Unit Inventory Controller to inspect all incoming units for defects and initiate warranty claims as necessary.
9. **Customer Engagement:** Introduce yourself to customers during unit pickups and serve as a contact for future warranty inquiries.
10. **Communication Management:** Directly communicate with customers regarding reported or unreported claims, providing timely updates through available communication tools.
11. **Claims Organization:** File, organize, and monitor both aged and new claims to achieve warranty profit center goals set by management.
12. **Defective Parts Management:** Tag and return defective parts to ensure compliance with warranty procedures.
13. **Product Improvement Collaboration:** Work with major unit vendors to enhance products that have shown recurring failures.
14. **Procedure Manual Creation:** Develop a comprehensive warranty procedure manual to facilitate coverage in your absence.
15. **Cross-Training:** Train alongside the parts manager and service writer to provide support during peak traffic periods.
16. **Inventory Management:** Conduct periodic cycle counts of all parts inventory throughout the year.
17. **Insurance Claims Management:** Oversee and manage all insurance claims related to repair work.

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position requiring 40-55 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with additional hours on Saturdays during peak season.

Qualifications:
Candidates must possess authorization to work in the United States and hold a valid driver's license.
