We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. in Austell, Georgia. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality MRI scans, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Operate MRI equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Position patients for exams, ensuring proper alignment and comfort
- Administer contrast media and other medications as needed
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to emergencies
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including patient information and exam results
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure optimal imaging performance
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
- Current certification as a Registered MRI Technologist (RMRT) or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in MRI
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Experience with MRI equipment and software
- Knowledge of MRI safety protocols and procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
