This position presents a unique chance to collaborate with seasoned vascular surgeons and enhance the quality of vascular care provided to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Patient Assessment and Management:

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, including detailed medical history assessments, physical examinations, and analysis of diagnostic results.

Formulate and execute detailed care strategies for individuals with vascular disorders.

Work in conjunction with the vascular surgery team to identify the most suitable treatment options for each patient.

  1. Surgical Support:

Assist vascular surgeons during various surgical interventions, encompassing both endovascular and open surgical techniques.

Prepare and position patients for surgical procedures, ensuring strict adherence to sterile protocols.

Closely monitor patients throughout surgical operations and provide necessary support to the surgical team.

  1. Pre- and Post-Operative Management:

Oversee pre-operative preparations, which include patient education, obtaining consent, and coordinating with other healthcare professionals.

Deliver post-operative care, tracking patient recovery and addressing complications as they arise.

Instruct patients and their families on post-operative care and rehabilitation processes.

  1. Team Collaboration and Communication:

Engage with other healthcare specialists, including nursing staff, anesthesiologists, and radiologists, to enhance patient care outcomes.

Effectively communicate with patients and their families, responding to inquiries and providing insights regarding vascular conditions and treatment pathways.

  1. Record Keeping:

Maintain precise and comprehensive patient documentation, including surgical records, progress notes, and treatment plans.

Ensure adherence to regulatory and organizational standards for documentation.

Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.

Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant.

Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

Prior experience in vascular surgery or a related specialty is highly advantageous.

Strong understanding of vascular conditions, diagnostic methodologies, and treatment strategies.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.

Experience:

  • PA - New graduates with relevant clinical rotations or electives will be considered.

Certification:

  • Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification (ACNP).
