About the Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineering Manager to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our digital modernization sector, you will play a crucial role in supporting the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Enterprise Development, Application, and Training (EDAT) initiative. Your primary responsibility will be to lead a team of engineers in designing and maintaining secure, scalable IT infrastructure to meet critical mission goals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of engineers in designing and maintaining secure, scalable IT infrastructure to meet critical mission goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather platform requirements and align solutions with operational objectives.
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to stay aligned with industry trends and improve infrastructure performance.
  • Develop and implement processes to ensure scalability, reliability, and efficiency of the platform.
  • Actively safeguard platforms against vulnerabilities through regular audits and proactive security measures.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (additional experience may substitute for a degree).
  • Possession of one certification such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
  • 6-10 years of relevant experience in platform engineering, system administration, or similar roles.
  • Ability to lead a team of engineers in designing and maintaining secure, scalable IT infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and automation frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with monitoring and performance tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Active Top Secret clearance.
  • Familiarity with DoD security standards and Zero Trust principles.
  • Effective leadership and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams towards common goals.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $155,000
