Job Title: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

Children's Mercy Kansas City is seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, you will provide expert family-centered and comprehensive health care services to the neonatal patient population in our Level IV NICU.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive plan of care for the patient/family.
  • Provide initial, ongoing, and comprehensive care to neonatal patients.
  • Obtain a complete health history, perform physical examinations, and formulate a plan of care.
  • Order and interpret laboratory and imaging studies, and perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Prescribe medications, make appropriate referrals, and collaborate with sub-specialties.
  • Participate in patient/family education and demonstrate clinical leadership.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Neonatal Nursing.
  • Current Neonatal Nurse Practitioner certification.
  • APRN board certification congruent with population and practice setting.
