About the Role

We are seeking an experienced CNC machinist with a strong mechanical aptitude to join our team at Miller Plastic Products, Inc. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming CNC machines and machining centers to produce high-quality plastic products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Study blueprints, sketches, and drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces
  • Set up and operate CNC machines and machining centers, including manual mills and lathes
  • Select and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, and attachments
  • Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, and depth
  • Operate and understand Haas and Mazak/Fanuc machines
  • Proof programs and understand G and M code programs
  • Perform machine maintenance and maintain a safe working environment
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certificate or diploma in engineering or a relevant discipline
  • 5-8 years of experience in CNC milling and turning
  • 3+ years of experience in programming
  • Mazak Mazatrol and/or SmoothAi experience
  • FeatureCam Software or similar experience
