Detention Officer

Government Jobs is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Detention Deputy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety, security, and good order of the Leon County Detention Facility.

• Maintain care, custody, and control of detainees in a secure and humane environment.
• Enforce facility rules and regulations, ensuring the overall safety and security of the facility.
• Exercise judgment and individual initiative in emergency situations, often without immediate supervision.
• Adhere to agency core values of honesty and integrity, accountability, teamwork, trust, and respect, and commitment to excellence.
• Demonstrate competency in Florida Model Jail Standards (FMJS), Standard Operational Procedures, and LCSO Policies and Procedures.
