  • Supervises the flow and quality of work to ensure completion of workload and consistency with facility standards, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Prepares and leads departmental budgets, including utilities and energy savings programs, to optimize resource allocation and minimize costs.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, including the Joint Commission, State Health Department, EPA, DEP, ADA, UST, and other relevant business appointments.
  • Supervises work performance and prepares and/or reviews performance evaluations for assigned personnel, fostering a culture of growth and development.
  • Guides employees on salient features of facility personnel and employee relations programs, addressing questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Plans, coordinates, and supervises construction and development of physical facilities, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
  • Reviews, evaluates, and recommends approval of plans for construction, ensuring alignment with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Serves as liaison with contractors, architects, engineers, and material and equipment suppliers, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field, with a strong foundation in facilities management and operations.
  • 2 years of responsibility at a Director Level or 5 years of responsibility at a Director Level in areas of Engineering, Maintenance, and Construction in a healthcare institution, with continuous education courses.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and transmit complicated detailed instructions orally and in writing, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous Facilities Management experience in an acute care hospital, with proficiency in CMMS Systems, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Certified Health Care Facility Manager (CHFM) certification, with a strong knowledge and understanding of healthcare building mechanical, structural, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to meet established goals and objectives, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and quality service delivery.
