As a Welder at Tesla, Inc., you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpreting engineering drawings, weld symbols, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure accurate welding.
  • Utilizing handheld tools such as calipers, weld gauges, tape measurements, and grinders to perform welding tasks.
  • Preparing welded assemblies for cosmetic finishing using grinding and sanding techniques.
  • Creating specific weldment set-ups and fixturing to meet geometric requirements.
  • Conducting quality work checks to ensure products meet quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and weld symbols.
  • Proficiency in using handheld tools and equipment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
