About the Role

The Industrial Mechanic will provide critical maintenance support to our print operations team. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial or commercial mechanics and be able to troubleshoot and repair problems in mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, including disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and calibration.
  • Diagnose equipment problems and perform repairs, including welding and fabricating new parts.
  • Operate newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
  • Record parts and materials used, and request new parts and materials as needed.
  • Communicate with management, mechanics, and equipment operators to advise them of potential mechanical hazards.
  • Execute the maintenance work schedule as provided by your supervisor.
Requirements
  • High school degree or 1-3 years of equivalent experience in industrial or commercial mechanics.
  • Knowledge of basic mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems and safe machine operation principles.
  • Capability of lifting press parts and making mechanical repairs.
  • Good math, mechanical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, reach, and lift 35 pounds.
