Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at Sharp HealthCare. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse. Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional team to deliver quality patient care, taking into account age-specific needs and care requirements.
  • Contribute to the overall unit functions, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Adhere to universal precautions and hospital infection control policies to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Participate in patient admissions, discharges, and transfers, ensuring accurate documentation and timely completion of tasks.
  • Provide daily care to patients, including vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and wound care, as directed by licensed nurses.
  • Identify and report any changes in patient condition, ensuring prompt notification of licensed nurses and other healthcare team members.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans, working collaboratively with the healthcare team.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with best practices and industry developments.
Requirements
  • AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals (AHA BLS Healthcare) certification is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with completion of a certified nursing assistant course or equivalent experience in a geriatric setting or acute care hospital.
