About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Early Childhood Assistant Teacher to join our team at the YMCA of Greater Boston. As an Assistant Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, healthy, and engaging environment for young children to learn and grow.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and implementing classroom curriculum that promotes social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development.
  • Communicate effectively with families and maintain a positive relationship with parents/guardians.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom space, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Supervise children during activities and manage transitions smoothly.
  • Work collaboratively with the Lead Teacher to design and implement assessments and progress reports.
Requirements
  • Working towards EEC certification or equivalent experience.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to the philosophy and goals of the YMCA.
