Dietary Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team at Memorial Healthcare. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient meals and maintaining a clean and safe food service environment.

• Coordinate and serve food and/or support materials associated with patient and cafeteria areas.
• Clean and maintain equipment and areas associated with assigned responsibilities.
• Prepare and serve foods required for patient meal supplementation in-between normal service hours.
• Ensure all areas are adequately stocked with appropriate materials and are ready for service for all shifts.

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in food service is desirable.
• Ability to organize and maintain a safe work environment in all assigned areas.
• Ability to understand Dietary procedures and the basic principles of food and nutrition in a healthcare environment.

This position requires the ability to stand, kneel, and crouch frequently. On a daily basis, you may be required to move about, sit, climb stairs, and bend. You will be frequently required to lift and carry up to 20 pounds and may be required to push/pull/carry items between 20-50 pounds.

• Ability to use knives without injury to self or others.
• Ability to record numbers correctly.
• Ability to setup patient trays and serve food for both patient and cafeteria areas.
• Proficiency using modern office, computer, and telephone equipment as used by Memorial Healthcare.

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in priorities. You will be required to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in all interactions with colleagues, patients, and visitors.
