Position Overview

As a Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for the preparation of a variety of baked goods, including breads and pastries. Your role will involve:

Key Responsibilities:
1. **Baking and Preparation**: Prepare doughs and fillings, proof, bake, and decorate baked items according to established recipes and quality standards.
2. **Production Management**: Review daily production sheets to understand the variety of baked goods required.
3. **Food Safety Compliance**: Maintain kitchen logs to ensure compliance with food safety programs and report any issues to management.
4. **Team Leadership**: Assist in the hiring, training, and evaluation of kitchen staff, serving as a role model for best practices.
5. **Operational Excellence**: Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.

Qualifications:

Education:
Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.

Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in a related culinary role.

Supervisory Experience:
No prior supervisory experience required.

Certifications:
No specific licenses or certifications are necessary.
