We are seeking a reliable and compassionate individual to join our team as a Ride Specialist, providing safe and efficient transportation services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Yates County.

About the Position:

This is a Per Diem opportunity that requires operating a bus safely and efficiently, maintaining high standards of safety and security, and providing excellent customer service. If you are passionate about supporting people with disabilities, we invite you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a bus safely and efficiently, ensuring the secure transportation of clients to and from designated locations
  • Maintain a high standard of safety and security during transportation, adhering to all relevant regulations and policies
  • Provide courteous customer service to clients and their families, communicating effectively to ensure smooth transportation experiences
  • Adhere to transportation schedules and routes, adjusting plans as needed to accommodate client needs
  • Communicate any mechanical malfunctions or issues arising during transportation to management for prompt resolution

Requirements:

  • Class C CDL with passenger endorsement, required for safe and efficient bus operation
  • Able to earn 19A Certification within 90 days, demonstrating commitment to enhanced skills and knowledge
  • SCR clearance, ensuring suitability for working with vulnerable populations
