We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to assume 24-hour accountability and responsibility for excellence in the clinical and operational practice of nursing and the delivery of care in the Clinical Express Admissions Department at Christiana Hospital.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of nurses and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. They will also be responsible for managing the department's budget, resources, and staff.

About the Department

The Clinical Express Admissions Department is a medical unit with telemetry, designed to decompress the Emergency Department after patients receive an admitting order. Patients may be admitted to the CEAD from Christiana Newark, Wilmington, and Middletown Emergency Departments.

The department is responsible for admission work and care progression until an available bed is ready on an inpatient unit.

Requirements
  • DE RN License or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
  • BSN Required
  • Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited school preferred or commitment to obtain within 3 years of hire date
  • Five years of appropriate clinical and leadership experience
  • Nursing Professional certification in a related nursing specialty is required
  • Nurse Executive certification preferred
