Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care in the Preoperative and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, ensuring a safe and efficient transition for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, addressing the physical and emotional needs of patients.
  • Administer medications, perform various medical procedures, and monitor patients' vital signs, as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices, new technologies, and emerging trends in the field.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of practice
  • At least 1.5 years of experience in a Preoperative and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit setting
  • Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare software
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
