Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Barista to join our team at FORTH Atlanta, a luxury hotel and members club. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting exceptional coffee and beverage experiences for our guests in a high-end setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coffee Preparation: Prepare a variety of espresso-based beverages, including lattes, cappuccinos, and macchiatos, meeting quality standards and guest preferences.
  • Guest Service: Engage warmly with guests, understanding their beverage preferences and offering personalized recommendations and exceptional service.
  • Coffee Station Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked coffee station, monitoring inventory levels and ensuring equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative coffee drinks and stay updated on trends to enhance the hotel's offerings.
  • Food Safety: Adhere to food safety guidelines, handle perishable items properly, and comply with health, safety, and hotel policies to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience as a barista in a luxury hotel, upscale café, or specialty coffee shop is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Proficiency in espresso extraction, milk steaming, latte art, and beverage presentation techniques.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with guests and colleagues.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality beverages and service.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: The person having this position may have to be proficient in seizing, grasping, turning, and holding objects with hands.
  • Physical Activity: The person having this position may have to stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for eight (8) hours per day.
  • Agility: Agility in executing fast-paced movements to navigate different areas of the property efficiently.
  • Lifting: The person having this responsibility may have to move, pull, carry, or lift objects weighing at least 50 pounds.
