At Ascension, we are seeking a highly skilled Leadership Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor to join our Medical Services Unit. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned nurse leader to oversee the delivery of quality patient care and lead a team of licensed and non-licensed caregivers and support staff in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

About the Role

This Leadership RN Supervisor position requires a strong background in operating room experience, with a minimum of 5 years of experience. You will be responsible for supervising, coordinating, and providing leadership to a team of clinical/non-clinical or interdisciplinary teams of licensed and non-licensed caregivers and support staff delivering quality patient care and ensuring implementation of clinical objectives in an assigned area.

  • Supervise and direct activities of clinical/non-clinical or interdisciplinary teams of licensed and non-licensed caregivers and support staff.
  • Assess daily patient care needs and develop and distribute patient care assignments.
  • Delegate appropriate duties to clinical/non-clinical or interdisciplinary teams based on their assessed skills and abilities.

You will work closely with other members of the clinical/non-clinical or interdisciplinary team to plan for the care of all patients on the unit for the shift. Your expertise will be invaluable in evaluating the care delivered by other licensed and non-licensed caregivers and support staff, providing direct and immediate feedback, coaching, ongoing verbal and written feedback, and evaluating performance trends.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Licensure / Certification / Registration: Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required.
  • Minimum 5 years of Operating Room experience.
