Job OverviewO.L. Thompson Construction Co., Inc. is a sitework construction company based in Charleston, SC. We have been serving the tri-county area since 1948 and have the capabilities to perform a turnkey operation in the area of site development.

We work on private, public, government, and commercial development projects. Our previous project costs range from a few thousand dollars to in excess of 60 million dollars. We are a South Carolina Unlimited, Highway, General Contractor.

About This Role
  • This position requires an individual who can assist with the placement of hot mix asphalt using a shovel, lute or other related tools.
  • The selected candidate will be responsible for shoveling asphaltic materials and assisting with maintenance of asphalt finishing machine to include adding or removing screed extensions.
  • The individual must be able to follow instruction of Asphalt Equipment Operator and Asphalt Foreman.
  • This role may involve exposure to vehicular traffic.
  • The candidate must comply with all policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
