Position Summary: The role involves the repair and refurbishment of customer equipment, ensuring high-quality service that supports the company’s sales initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections, repairs, and servicing of customer equipment.
  • Coordinate work schedules with the Service Manager.
  • Assist with on-site repairs while adhering to customer safety protocols. Operate company vehicles safely.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following Tencarva’s safety guidelines.
  • Travel for training or customer support as required.
  • Be prepared for overnight travel and manage approved personal travel expenses, which will be reimbursed by the company.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Specialized Skills:

  • Ability to diagnose and test electric motors ranging from 1hp to 450hp.
  • Familiarity with voltages from 115V single phase to 460V three phase.
  • Experience with mechanical seal installations and pressure testing.
  • Knowledge of bearing configurations from single row to duplex arrangements.
  • Proficient in using micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Understanding of hydraulic impellers, wear rings, and clearances.
  • Skilled in using multi-testers for motor and sensor testing.
  • Proficient in wiring motors and sensors.
  • Experience in panel testing, wiring, and troubleshooting.
  • Able to read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Capable of understanding manuals and drawings for disassembly, assembly, and testing.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED; or 5+ years of relevant experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Competence in writing routine reports and correspondence.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and understanding percentages and decimals.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with internet software.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to perform very heavy work, including lifting over 100 pounds occasionally and more than 50 pounds frequently. Candidates must be able to climb, balance, kneel, crouch, reach overhead, stand, walk, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions.

Work Environment: Employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and various weather conditions. The noise level is typically moderate.
