Pediatric Intensive Care Travel Nurse

Tact Staff is currently seeking a Travel Nurse RN specializing in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This role involves providing exceptional care to critically ill children in a fast-paced environment.

The PICU unit is designed to cater to a limited number of patients, ensuring a family-like atmosphere among the staff. Our team is dedicated to maintaining high standards of patient care and achieving excellent patient experience scores.

Unit Details

Unit Capacity: 6 beds
Staff Composition: 17 team members including RNs and CNCs
Patient Ratios: 1:1 to 3:1
Equipment Used: Phillips monitors, Hamilton ventilators, EMR - Meditech

Qualifications

Required: Minimum of 1 year of experience in PICU and PALS certification.
Preferred: Experience in Pediatric Trauma or Pediatric Burn care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing dressing changes under conscious sedation
  • Conducting intubations and ICP monitoring
  • Executing frequent neurological assessments
