Role Responsibilities:
A Pharmacy Technician operates under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, adhering to Kentucky regulations. Responsibilities may include:
- Inputting prescriptions into the computer system
- Processing refill requests
- Counting and preparing medications
- Executing additional tasks as assigned by the supervising pharmacist, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED; Certification as a Pharmacy Technician and prior pharmacy experience are preferred.
- Understanding of interpersonal dynamics within a healthcare team.
- Registration as required by the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an insured vehicle.
- No positive results on drug or alcohol tests.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Compliance with Bluegrass Care Navigators' Employee Health and vaccination policies is expected.
