Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Driver to join our team at Equus Workforce Solutions. As a Driver, you will be responsible for transporting students safely and efficiently, while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation and report any issues to the supervisor.
  • Maintain control of students during transport and ensure all safety devices are used at all times.
  • Verify the identity of students before transporting them off-center and ensure they do not bring contraband on center vehicles.
  • Transport students as needed, while adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any repair needs to the supervisor.
  • Keep accurate logs of students transported and maintain timely and accurate vehicle and transportation records.
  • Enforce center standards of conduct and serve as a positive role model by reinforcing appropriate behaviors.
  • Document student misconduct in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist Safety & Security Officers with student inspections as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger and air brake endorsements and a good driving record.
  • Ability to obtain a valid CDL with endorsements within 90 days of hire date.
