As a Mechanical Project Engineer at WB Engineers+Consultants, you will play a key role in the design and development of mechanical systems for various projects. Your primary responsibility will be to lead and assist in the production of projects from start to finish, working closely with Senior Engineers and Directors as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Lead and assist with the production of projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
- System Design and Development: Support the development of designs, specifications, systems narratives, and system layouts for a variety of projects and project sizes.
- Deliverables Preparation: Prepare deliverables, including calculations, drawings, and specifications, to meet project requirements.
- Equipment Selection and Layout: Select and layout mechanical equipment, such as pumps, chillers, fans, and boilers, to meet project needs.
- Construction Administration: Perform construction administration and field investigation tasks, including conducting field inspections and subsequent detailed inspection reports.
- Design Standards: Ensure that drawings and designs are in accordance with company production and design standards.
- Communication: Keep Project Managers and Senior Engineers informed of workload and any changes in project scope or additional services.
- Site Visits and Meetings: Attend project meetings and site visits to ensure project progress and address any concerns.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Equivalent of 5-7 years of relevant professional experience.
- Skills: Revit experience preferred, high proficiency in AutoCAD, knowledge of all aspects of mechanical systems, and understanding of applicable design and building codes.
