Job Summary

Ryder is seeking a skilled Warehouse Material Handler to join our team in a permanent, full-time capacity. As a key member of our warehouse operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods within our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read, interpret, and apply Warehouse Management System (WMS) order instructions to accurately stage and prepare orders for shipment.
  • Recognize and correct potential process errors before they affect the customer, ensuring high-quality service and minimizing errors.
  • Pull orders accurately as assigned, verifying the number of pallets picked and stage location to ensure timely and efficient order fulfillment.
  • Prepare receiving, storage, and shipping documentation, maintaining product accountability throughout the logistical process.
  • Operate fork-lift equipment or other warehouse machinery safely and efficiently, adhering to location and work center Safety and Security policies and procedures.
  • May be required to train others in various warehouse functions, including the safe operation of powered industrial lift equipment, perform housekeeping duties, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of related warehouse and powered industrial lift experience required.
  • Ability to read, do basic mathematics, understand, and respond to written and verbal instructions in English for the purposes of safety, work instructions, policies, etc.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to input data into computer systems.
  • Work overtime as assigned.
