Job Title: Principal Engineer DevOps

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer DevOps to join our team of experts in Colorado Springs, CO or Huntsville, AL. As a key member of our DevSecOps team, you will be responsible for developing and deploying infrastructure as a service and a platform as a service capability.

Job Summary:

The selected candidate will support the C2BMC DevSecOps team in managing multiple environments, software deployment, troubleshooting, and automation in a DevSecOps environment for a critical customer program. We are using leading DevOps practices and tooling, including Hashicorp Tools, GitLab CI/CD, Ansible Tower, and Nexus Pro.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the DevSecOps team to develop and deploy infrastructure as a service and a platform as a service capability.
  • Manage multiple environments, software deployment, troubleshooting, and automation in a DevSecOps environment.
  • Work with the design team and manufacturers to propose system administration process improvements to reduce maintenance requirements.
  • Determine system requirements, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and system configuration maintenance.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve program support deficiencies.
  • Develop and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers.
Requirements:
  • An active Secret clearance is required to start.
  • 5 years with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field; 3 years with a Master of Science degree in Computer Science or related field; 9 years' experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA).
  • Experience with Linux or Windows System Administration.
  • Scripting skills in languages such as bash or PowerShell.
  • Experience with automation.
  • Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools.
  • Must be responsible for working independently and as an SME on large projects.
  • Experience with Ansible Automation Platform, including Ansible Tower.
  • Experience with HashiCorp Packer and Vault.
  • Experience with Gitlab CI/CD.
  • Experience with Nexus.
  • Experience in virtualization technology, including, but not limited to, VMware. Understanding of HP server configuration.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding the software development life cycle is highly desired.
  • Experience with Agile Methodology is highly desired.
