Job Summary

This is a lead level custodial services position that requires a high level of expertise and leadership skills. As a Senior Custodial Worker, you will be responsible for overseeing a small crew of custodial workers and performing a variety of custodial duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of custodial workers to ensure that all custodial tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Perform a variety of custodial duties, including cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining the cleanliness of buildings and facilities.
  • Operate and maintain mechanical custodial equipment, such as vacuums, scrubbers, and buffers.
  • Complete and maintain competency in required training and stay up-to-date on new technologies and procedures.
  • Communicate and interact effectively with people across cultures, ranges of ability, genders, ethnicities, ages, and races.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Six months' experience in performing institutional or office custodial work.

Working Conditions

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. The State of Delaware Executive Branch participates in the Federal E-Verify system where the State will provide the federal government with each new hire's Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S.
