Position Overview:
The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for overseeing the delivery of nursing services within the Critical Access Hospital and outpatient surgery suite. This role requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of care and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage nursing staff to ensure the provision of quality care in accordance with professional standards and facility policies.
2. Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures that align with current clinical practices and regulations.
3. Collaborate with the CEO, Medical Director, and department heads to establish operational strategies and achieve organizational goals.
4. Conduct regular assessments of care quality and regulatory compliance across all shifts.
5. Lead the infection control program to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of five years in a managerial role, with at least two years in a critical access hospital setting.
- Licensure: Active Wyoming Registered Nurse license.
